Haiku hat \u00fcberhaupt nichts mit Linux zu tun, ist ein komplett eigenes Betriebssystem. Wer einmal von BeOS geh\u00f6rt hat, liegt mit diesem System genau richtig. Haiku ist ein Nachbau von BeOS. Dieses Betriebssystem ist nicht nur extrem schlank und schnell, sondern l\u00e4uft auch auf \u00e4lterer Hardware problemlos &#8211; sollte auch auf nicht ganz so aktueller Hardware funktionieren. Man kann mit diesem System auch schon recht gut arbeiten &#8211; man sollte sich jedoch auch im Klaren sein, es handelt sich dabei noch um eine Beta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Haiku kann auf eine eigene Partition neben Linux installiert werden, Haiku nutzt GRUB als Bootloader und kann so von GRUB eines bereits bestehenden Linux gestartet werden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Haiku testen und installieren<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sie finden dieses System unter\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.haiku-os.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Haiku<\/a>\u00a0in 32 und 64 Bit zum Download, das rund 720 Megabyte gro\u00dfe Image brennen Sie bootf\u00e4hig auf eine DVD, oder kopieren es unter allen Betriebssystemen etwa mit der Software\u00a0Etcher\u00a0auf einen USB-Stick und starten den Rechner davon:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/linux-bibel.at\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/haiku-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6807\" srcset=\"https:\/\/linux-bibel.at\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/haiku-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/linux-bibel.at\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/haiku-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/linux-bibel.at\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/haiku-150x84.jpg 150w, https:\/\/linux-bibel.at\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/haiku-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/linux-bibel.at\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/haiku-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/linux-bibel.at\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/haiku.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Das System startet sehr schnell in die grafische Oberfl\u00e4che, Sie w\u00e4hlen zu Beginn die Sprache und ob Sie das System als Live-System testen oder gleich installieren m\u00f6chten. Per Kontextmen\u00fc &#8211; also per Rechtsklick auf eine freie Stelle auf dem Desktop gelangen Sie an die Verzeichnisse und Dateien &#8211; hier das Home-Verzeichnis. Die Installation startet jetzt ohne weitere Einstellungen und Warnungen, auf einer SSD dauert die Installation keine zehn Sekunden. Der Desktop ist an BeOS gehalten, hierzu muss nicht viel gesagt werden.
