Das betrifft alle PCs, die Secure Boot nutzen \u2013 unabh\u00e4ngig vom Betriebssystem. Auch Linux-User sind direkt betroffen, weil viele Linux-Distributionen ihre Bootloader und Kernel \u00fcber die Microsoft-Zertifikate signieren, damit sie auf den meisten PCs mit Secure Boot starten k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">I. Was bedeutet das konkret f\u00fcr Linux-Nutzer?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Firmware-Update n\u00f6tig:<\/strong><br>Damit Secure Boot auch nach Juni 2026 funktioniert, muss dein Mainboard\/Laptop-Hersteller ein Update f\u00fcr die UEFI-\/BIOS-Firmware bereitstellen, das die neuen Zertifikate einspielt. Ohne dieses Update akzeptiert das System ablaufende oder abgelaufene Zertifikate nicht mehr, und das Booten mit Secure Boot schl\u00e4gt fehl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Aktualisierte Boot-Komponenten:<\/strong><br>Auch deine Linux-Distribution muss rechtzeitig neue Shim\/Grub-Bootloader und Kernel bereitstellen, die mit den neuen Secure Boot Zertifikaten von Microsoft signiert sind. Die meisten gro\u00dfen Distributionen (Ubuntu, Fedora, openSUSE usw.) haben angek\u00fcndigt, dies rechtzeitig umzusetzen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Was tun, wenn kein Firmware-Update verf\u00fcgbar ist?<\/strong><br>In diesem Fall kannst du Secure Boot im UEFI\/BIOS deaktivieren. Dann startet dein Linux-System weiterhin, allerdings ohne den durch Secure Boot gebotenen Schutz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">II. Check-Liste als Linux-Nutzer<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Pr\u00fcfe bis sp\u00e4testens 2026, ob dein Ger\u00e4tehersteller eine aktuelle Firmware mit den neuen Secure Boot Keys anbietet. Updates fr\u00fchzeitig einspielen!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Halte dein Linux-System, vor allem Bootloader und Kernel, regelm\u00e4\u00dfig aktuell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Lies die Ank\u00fcndigungen deiner Distribution &#8211; oft gibt es in Foren, Newslettern oder Release Notes Hinweise zu Secure Boot und Zertifikaten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Dual-Boot-System? <br>Beachte: Windows und Linux nutzen dieselben Secure-Boot-Schl\u00fcssel, hier ist ebenfalls ein Firmware-Update n\u00f6tig.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">III. Wichtiger Hinweis<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ohne Firmware-Update und neue Certs l\u00e4sst sich ein modernes Linux-System mit Secure Boot nach Juni 2026 <strong>NICHT<\/strong> mehr starten. Wer Secure Boot deaktiviert hat, ist von diesem Ablauf technisch nicht betroffen, verliert aber Schutzmechanismen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">IV. Fazit<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Du musst unter Linux <strong>sp\u00e4testens bis Juni 2026 handeln<\/strong>, wenn du Secure Boot weiterhin nutzen m\u00f6chtest.
