Die Document Foundation – die Organisation, die hinter LibreOffice steht, schreibt einen offenen Brief an die Entwickler von OpenOffice. Man kann dies durchaus auch als Warnung an die Nutzer von OpenOffice sehen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Es geht darum – von OpenOffice gibt es seit 2014 keine neue Version, dies zeigt natürlich die mangelnde Aktivität an der Entwicklung von OpenOffice – vor allem aber, es gibt Sicherheitslücken in der Software – „seit über einem Jahr“ – die in LibreOffice seit dieser Zeit schon längst korrigiert wurden und in OpenOffice noch nicht einmal dokumentiert wurden. Dies bedeutet, OpenOffice zu benutzen ist äußerst gefährlich.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unter Linux<\/a> wird OpenOffice kaum noch eingesetzt – wenn, dann installieren die Nutzer diese manuell, unter Windows ist OpenOffice jedoch noch einigermaßen verbreitet.<\/p>\n
